Executive Pastor | Full-Time | Salaried Exempt; 40-50 hrs/wk
The purpose of this position is to act as the "chief operating officer" of MCC, reporting to the Lead Pastor. Responsibilities include: refining MCC's vision adn leading development of detailed plans to deliver the vision; developing the people systems that nurture/supervise all ministries and support staff and ensuring that all ministry teams are integrated to support MCC's vision and goals; enabling the Lead Pastor, Phil Posthuma, to put his full attention toward preaching, teaching and mentoring the congregation and staff. Next Generation Director | Full-Time | Salaried
We are seeking an individual to oversee the operations of Children’s and Student Ministries (i.e. birth through high school) as a pastoral, spiritual, and biblical leader and to empower and release staff and lay leaders of the four ministry areas (i.e. early childhood, elementary, junior high, and senior high) to establish: effective and meaningful worship, equipping, and missional environments in the ministry areas. The NG Director will be responsible for the alignment of these ministries with the overall mission, vision, values, and strategies of the church. In addition, the NG Director will have primary responsibility for Senior High Student Ministry. Desired skills: a heart for people, relational, approachable, collaborative, proven leader, ability to encourage, empower & coach. Other requirements include the ability to recruit volunteers, supervise and mentor staff, and oversee financial management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, ministry or related field, Masters of Divinity preferred; at least 5 years’ experience on large church staff serving in children’s, student’s or Christian education preferred. Elementary Children's Director | Full-Time | Salaried
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of the Elementary Children’s Ministry (1st-6th grades) as a spiritual and biblical leader that empowers and releases lay leaders for ministry. The Director will partner with parents to help them be the spiritual leaders of their families by using effective communication and organization, with a nurturing and discerning spirit. Responsibilities include creating age-appropriate worship and learning environments, overseeing and coordinating educational, spiritual growth activities and curriculum, creating and planning large-scale ministry events for children and their families, supervising staff and volunteers, providing input to and assisting with the creation of operating and capital budgets. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education or children’s ministry required; three years’ experience working in elementary children’s ministry preferred; a decisive and proven leader with the ability to encourage and empower; knowledge of developmental and faith stages for elementary age children. Communications & Graphic Intern | Part-Time, hourly up to 24 hours/ week (1-year internship begins in May/June 2019)
We are seeking a college student in their third or fourth year of school who is seeking a future in communications, marketing or graphic design. The primary purpose of this position is to effectively coordinate publication printing schedules, edit and publish to the website, digital and print communications of the church, and some graphics, effectively envision and develop creative ideas with our vendors, and to assist the Communication Director with the development and execution of the communications plan.
